IRD Chases Firms that pay Owners 'too little' - NBR 28/11/2008

The National Business Review on 28/11/2008 highlighted what accountants have long since known, that the IRD is taking action against professionals that shield their income from the 39% tax rate behind "the corporate veil".  In particular they are targeting the medical profession where fee income and profits are large, but with the differential between individual and company tax rates increasing, the incentive for the IRD to look further afield is there.
